Breaking:Taylor has taken to the stage
Taylor Swift has officially taken to the stage at Wembley!
Fans went wild as the songstress appeared from under the stage wearing a pink and blue bedazzled body suit paired with silver boots.
The three-and-a-half hour spectacle begins!
Young cancer patient ‘excited’ for Swift’s gig
Little Sophie Hutton was a cancer patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital for 72 days.
Although treatment was ‘quite scary’, the young girl got through by watching the the Eras Tour movie on Disney+ and completing her Taylor Swift colouring book.
Calling her daughter, ‘super brave’, Sophie’s mother Angela said: ‘This is a dream come true because we never thought we’d be here… in so many ways.’
We hope Sophie enjoys dancing to her favourite song ‘Shake It Off’ tonight!
Could this be Taylor’s number one fan?
Among the glittering crowd is Bailey Heath who was crowned ‘MTV’s Ultimate Stan’ after taking part in a Swift-themed game show in which he had to answer 72 questions about the singer.
The 23-year-old is attending the concert with his four siblings who travelled from Canada, Budapest, Bristol and Surrey.
He is wearing a cropped black tee with the word ‘Rep’ on it, as a nod to Taylor’s 2017 album.
Recalling the game show, Bailey said: ‘It was actually really hard questions, it was “What was her brother’s star sign?”, “What was her football team in high school?”
‘Don’t ask how I know them all. It’s a lifestyle choice.’
Increased police presence ‘makes us feel better’, fans say
In the wake of the foiled terror plot in Vienna, the Met Police announced they are ‘well prepared’ for the concert in London.
A group of four students – Reeba Tovee, 19, Imogene Gatherer, 20, Ellie Behan, 19, and Carrie Ferguson, 19 – told of their relief to hear of the increased security.
Ellie said: ‘I’m also so excited for the atmosphere and all the girls, everyone is going to be there, it’s like girlhood. When you go to a club you don’t feel very safe, but I feel like this going to be so supportive and safe.’
Reeba added: ‘I was praying this wasn’t cancelled. I know they’ve put a lot of extra security in now.
‘When the news came out, we were all very nervous but seeing the extra security measures that have been put in place makes us feel better, there have been lots of accounts on X and TikTok saying what the safest way to get there is.’
Early risers! Swifties queuing since dawn
Dedicated fans of Taylor Swift have been queuing overnight for a chance to get up close and personal with their idol.
Coco is the first person in line for the gig and revealed she has been camped out since 11am on Wednesday to ‘get the best spot’.
The 19-year-old travelled three hours from Surrey to be first in line.
She said: ‘We wanted to come as early as we could, we wanted to be the first ones because you get the best view and you have the most space.
Coco, who bought the £275 VIP package ticket over a year ago, said the experience has already been ‘really fun’ and that the atmosphere with fans making bracelets together is ‘really nice’.
More than 90,000 fans expected tonight
Wembley can seat up to 90,000 people – and there is no doubt it will be packed out tonight.
Those without tickets often listen to the three-and-a-half hour set from outside the stadium – in a practice called ‘tay-gating’. Unfortunately, Wembley have advised fans from congregating outside during the show.
But with tickets being re-sold for up to £2,200, you may be wondering what makes a Taylor Swift concert so special?
Well, let’s hear it from the Swifties themselves.
Bejeweled: A DIY fashion show at Wembley
While high street fashion chains such as Primark have seen an influx in the number of people searching for silver cowboy boots, some Swifties have decided to go down the DIY route for their concert outfit.
One was dressed up as a ghost, although the all-important friendship bracelets could still be seen.
Others decorated their shoes with brightly coloured markers making sure to reference each one of Taylor’s 11 albums.
Another Swiftie was seen asking people to sign their name on her white dress with red or black pen – perhaps a nod to Taylor’s Reputation era.
Several dads have even been spotted getting into the Swiftie spirit…
What are all the Swifties wearing?
We know the scenes All Too Well.
Cowboy hats, glittering skirts and friendship bracelets galore.
Swifties have officially descended on London… and it’s hard to miss them.
Breaking:Kings Cross evacuated
Kings Cross station has been evacuated, forcing thousands of Swifties to re-route on their way to Wembley.
Tannoys warned passengers of a ‘fire alert’ and police officers blocked the entries.
It is believed that the major travel hub has since reopened, and thousands of people wearing feather boas have breathed a sigh of relief.
Met Police says they are ‘well prepared’
Taylor Swift fans flocking to Wembley ahead of the singer’s Eras Tour insist they feel ‘safe’ after the foiled terror plot in Vienna.
And it’s no wonder they feel ‘fearless’.
The Met Police have told the public they are ‘well prepared’ for the gigs, forming a ring of steel with hundreds of security personnel around the venue.
