Antarctica science in foreign affairs 'trade-offs' expected within months


It will become increasingly difficult to carry out New Zealand's scientific work in Antarctica as funding and costs dwindle, Foreign Office officials have warned.

News of the reduced capacity comes as the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade prepares to set out to the government what further “considerations” it will make as it grapples with cost pressures and workloads.
