American fast food giant Wendy’s has opened its first central London restaurant since its re-launch in the UK.

The iconic hamburger chain opened its doors in Camden on Tuesday after previously launching restaurants in Croydon, Stratford, Ilford and Romford.

Outside London, Wendy’s stores have opened in Reading, Oxford and Brighton with plans to expand elsewhere in the UK in the future.

It has also opened several dark kitchens across the capital in partnership with REEF to offer deliveries on food platforms, including Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Abigail Pringle, Wendy’s chief development officer, had previously said sales were so popular that they planned to expand further.

She explained: “We have seen incredible success that has exceeded our expectations, and it is clear to us that customers love our high quality fresh food.”
