Woman caught using 'all you can eat' order to feed entire family | US News

A woman has been arrested after claiming her all-you-can-eat meal could feed her entire family at the table.

Shawneesha Cobbs, 28, dined at Applebee's Bar and Grill in Portage, Indiana, where she ordered the $15.99 all-you-can-eat meal deal earlier this month, Fox 32 reported.

Police responded to a disturbance at the restaurant on the 6200 block of US On August 2, just after 8:30 p.m., I was driving along Highway 6 and saw several people screaming.

A woman told police that she, Cobbs, a man and several minors got into an argument with the manager of Applebee's because they thought the $15.99 deal was enough for their entire family to eat at the table.

The group alleged that the menu did not state that the deal was for one person and that the manager had not behaved professionally towards them.

Cobbs showed the officers a menu. They pointed out to the group that the menu said “per person.”

But Cobbs didn't stop there. As a couple was walking out, Cobbs got into a verbal altercation with them.

Cobbs refused to calm down despite a woman and officers telling her to stop her misbehavior and threatening to arrest her.

Police arrested Cobbs and took her to the Porter County Jail in a patrol car.

Cobbs, of Chicagohas been charged with disturbing the peace.

Despite all the commotion, Cobbs' party ultimately paid the full bill for everyone who had eaten.

Cobbs was arrested more than two and a half years after another strange incident at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

In December 2021, a then 24-year-old California woman challenged herself to eat her $50 sushi buffet and ate 32 buns, four gyoza dumplings, two jalapeño poppers, a bowl of miso soup and a bowl of edamame. The woman, who shared her story on TikTok, ended up in a hospital where she was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease, or acid reflux.
