The rest of the day will be sunny in large parts of England and Wales.
In Northern Ireland and Scotland there will be scattered cloud fields and some showers, strong winds and temperatures well below 20 degrees.
Temperatures in London, the South East and the Midlands will rise to 24 degrees Celsius – a significant shift from the hottest day of the year just a few days ago on Monday.
The gale-force winds that blew cooler air across the UK yesterday are still here, making temperatures feel cooler – a welcome change if you were suffering from the mini heatwave.
Swifties heading to Wembley Stadium tonight for the megastar's Eras tour concert needn't worry about packing rainproof gear, with the Met Office predicting a maximum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius when the doors open.
By the end of the show, temperatures will still be around 20 degrees Celsius, even before midnight.
Londoners can brace themselves for another tropical night as temperatures are expected to dip just below 20 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Saturday.
