Band Space, a VR multiplayer rhythm game, is coming to Quest and SteamVR this fall.
Fast Travel Games has announced that it will publish Band Space, an instrument-driven rhythm game from Smartmelon Games, and early access fans can claim a free upgrade to the full game at release. Whether you’re jamming online with friends or having a session by yourself, Band Space uses VR motion controls to simulate four key instruments: drums, guitar, keyboard, and bass.
Band Space focuses on bringing the musical joy of playing in a band to life in VR, where you strum every beat of the guitar, hit the right keys on the piano, or swing your arms recklessly on the drum kit in time to the music.
In addition to several pre-selected tracks, the developers confirmed that integrated Mod.io support will allow players to easily find and download new songs to expand their library. You can also create your own tracks using the in-game Beatmap Editor, which even includes tools to edit the lighting in a track for full control over the feel of a new song. Mixed reality support is also coming at a later date.
