BoboVR just announced a Quest 3 charging station that's cheaper than Meta's official offering and includes additional features for the company's other products.
Meta charges $130 for his own Quest 3 charging stationwhile the BoboVR D3 costs $70.
Just like the official dock, the BoboVR D3 charges the headset using the three gold pins on the bottom. The controllers are charged wirelessly via the included special rechargeable batteries.
But D3 has another set of pins behind the headset to charge BoboVR's B100 battery, which fits inside the headset. S3 Pro Battery Strap for Quest 3This means that if you have two B100 packs, for example, you can have one ready when the other one you already have runs out.
The company claims that when used with a 45W power adapter, the dock will charge the Quest 3 from 0% to 100% in under 3 hours, and the B100 in just over two hours.
BoboVR also claims that D3 is the only dock that supports charging the controllers with its G3 Plus controller grips coverFor owners of the G3 Plus, it would be a great convenience not to have to take them off every time to charge.
BoboVR is having a launch sale at D3 through the end of the month, with discounts of up to $63. The dock doesn’t come with a power adapter, but in the US the company is offering a bundle that includes a 45W adapter and the G3 Plus grips for $90 through the end of the month, or $100 thereafter.
