Footage shows a burglar being forced to the ground by a security guard after a Morrisons burglary did not go as planned.
The incident took place in Bideford, north Devonwhen a burglar attempted to loot a Morrisons store in the city centre in the early hours of the morning.
However, the attempt was thwarted by a guard who was aware of the commotion and had a keen eye.
As one man forced his way into the store by smashing the door and climbing inside, another man appeared to be standing guard nearby.
But when the burglar came out through the windows, the guard grabbed him before the pair fell to the ground.
The perpetrator then drops the stolen items and escapes from the crime scene at The Quay – losing a shoe in the process, just like a shady Cinderella.
