THE Land Rover Defender is a British car icon.
The old model is renowned for its tough off-road capabilities and the ability to just look at home on the farm like in the city.
So car fans all over the world were devastated back then land rover announced it was ceasing production in 2016.
Land Rover held back, however, and has since injected a limited number of special edition Defenders.
Now there’s another chance to get your hands on a brand new ‘old’ Defender.
The catch? It will cost you at least €225,000.
And that’s for the small three-door ’90’ version, the larger five-door ‘110’ costs more.
The reason? Well, Land Rover is only releasing 25 of these Expedition Defenders and they are all equipped with a great 405 hp V8 petrol engine.
It says the cars “pay tribute to the legacy of Land Rover’s global expeditions.”
The limited-edition cars feature “distinctive, adventure-inspired camouflage featuring 23 locations that have played a part in Land Rover’s illustrious off-road and exploration adventures for more than 70 years.”
And if you manage to get your hands on one, you’ll be invited to take part in the second specially designed three-day off-road competition.
You can choose between the 90 and 110 Station Wagon models, plus an even more limited number of 110 Double Cab Pick-Ups.
All cars come with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and upgraded brakes and suspension, plus a black and white livery under the camo.
Outdoors, the accessory includes a front A-frame with an integrated winch, full-width high-power LED light bar, rock sliders and an outdoor expedition roll cage.
Inside you’ll find two-tone Recaro Windsor leather sports seats, dashboard and upholstery, a Land Rover Classic Infotainment System and a clock with a dial that reflects the camouflage of watchmaker Elliot Brown.
And if you’re concerned that your watch won’t match your £225,000 Defender, don’t worry. Elliot Brown makes one to go with it.
