Bob Odenkirk has reflected on his heart attack, a year after his terrifying health scare.
The Better Call Saul star, 59, was rushed to hospital last July after falling ill on the set of the wildly popular Breaking Bad spin-off.
He was rushed to hospital and took time off to recover before returning to work two months later to see the rest of the last season.
On Twitter, the actor, who plays the sympathetic sleazy Saul Goodman, shared a touching post on the anniversary of his ordeal.
“A thank you to you, whoever you are,” he began. “A year ago today I briefly flirted with “quietus” and this elicited a wave of benevolence and warmth towards me.
“I will feel unworthy forever. I will also always be grateful and try to pass it on.
‘Thank you. No answer needed.’
Followers were quick to respond to the post, sharing their love and support for Bob in the comments below.
“I’m so glad you’re still with us and I just wish you good health so you’ll be with us for much longer,” said one fan.
“Thank you for the incredible performance of one of the best written and loveable characters in fiction, Jimmy/Saul, and for being such a wonderful person yourself.”
One emotional Twitter user wrote: ‘Real tears for a tweet from a man I will never know. That’s the power of your work.’
As someone wrote: ‘You are a wonderful and very talented person Bob, may you always be in good health and in good company.
“You are loved and respected. Thanks for everything.’
“You say no answer is needed, and, okay, sure. maybe not,” added another. “But you’re so loved, and we’re all so glad you’re all right. And I’m so glad you know that.’
Bob was hospitalized last July after he collapsed on set while filming scenes for season six of Better Call Saul.
Rather, he took the time to focus on his recovery will resume his role in Septemberwith the episodes now airing on Netflix.
The star later revealed that he doesn’t remember the incident and that his fellow cast and crew members needed to shed light on what happened.
“I would say the cast and crew were more traumatized than I was because I have an empty space where I had this heart attack,” he previously told People magazine. “I can’t remember the day it happened or the next week and a half.
“They were all there. And they saw me go down, and they saw them use the defibrillator on me three times, and they saw the professionals around me look at each other and say he’s not coming back.
“They’ve all been through that, and I haven’t. But I did go through it afterwards when they shared the stories with me and they did, and I asked them.’
