One person is in critical condition after a serious two-car accident near Matamata.
The accident happened at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday between Hinuera and Piarere on State Highway 29, southwest of Matamata, a police spokesman said.
Two people have been taken to hospital, one in critical condition and one in moderate condition.
A section of SH29 was closed and motorists were asked to avoid the area, but the road reopened just after 3 p.m.
