- Game Dashboard, a feature added in Android 12 for Pixel phones, may be extended to other Android devices soon.
- That’s what’s suggested in a new Google System Updates changelog.
- It is not yet clear when this will happen and on which devices.
When android 12 was released in 2021, it added a new feature, Game Dashboard. Only with one catch, it is currently only available for Google’s Pixel Phones. Now there is evidence that we could extend this feature to more Android devices.
The feature itself generates an overlay on top of all the games you play on your Pixel phone. This allows you to quickly access higher performance from your phone, rather than saving performance for battery life. It also provides a quick way to live stream your gameplay via YouTube, quickly access your Google Play achievements, and more. in a new one Google Systems Update Change Log (through android police), it says on Game Dashboard: “Available on select devices with Android T.”
What exactly that means is still up in the air. According to android policethe newly launched Pixel 6a gets Game Dashboard support when updated for Android 13, which could come sometime in early August. Furthermore, we have no information about the extension of this feature. Hopefully we will get clarity soon.
