UK weather: Brits brace for thunderstorms as unstable weather rumbles this week | Weather | News

Scotland is at risk of flooding after a barrage of rain and thunderstorms hit the country, according to the Met Office. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning in response to this dangerous weather.

The changeable weather will last until the end of the week, when the summer weather abates.

According to the weather experts, there will be sun and showers on Wednesday and there will be less wind.

BBC weather forecaster Stav Danaos said: “The reason for this is that the center of the low pressure system will retreat just slightly from the north west of the UK.

“The overnight rainy season will slowly disappear in eastern England and Scotland.”

On Wednesday and Thursday, the mercury could sizzle to these blistering latitudes, with the south east of England expected to enjoy it best, according to forecasters WXCharts.

Meanwhile, The Mirror reported that by the weekend, a high-pressure system advancing from the south will see temperatures in parts of the country boil into the mid-twenties.

Weather expert Ian Simpson of Netweather.Tv said: “Midweek, especially Thursday, heavy and thunderstorms will be seen, followed by a gradual easing before the end of the week with high pressure building over France and then Germany.

“So more for South East Britain, still restless for North West UK.
