Martin Kemp and Michelle Collins have been spotted together for the first time in years, but unfortunately for EastEnders fans they won’t be returning to Albert Square this time.

The actors, who played Steve Owen and Cindy Beale in the BBC soap, have been busy filming the gangster comedy Miss the Kiss.

Photos have surfaced of the couple looking tense on location in Kent, where they shot scenes around a junkyard.

One image shows Michelle, 60, clutching a bottle, dragging behind her frown Celebrities Glasses Case star.

The pair both look neat in their costumes, with Michelle wearing a pink dress and Martin noting dark gray slacks and a navy blue shirt.

Plot details of Miss the Kiss are kept secret, though a synopsis reads: “When actor Jack is cast in a new gangster movie, he asks his lifelong friend Danny to shadow the family in hilarious and deadly circumstances.”

Also in the cast is Sadie Frost, who shares children Rafferty, Iris and Rudy with her ex-husband Jude Law.

It is not clear if he has scored a part, but Denise Van Outen’s ex Eddie Boxshall was featured on set.

Eddie and Denise had been together for seven years and were engaged before breaking up in January.

Although both initially kept their mouths shut about the divorce, it was later revealed that Eddie had sent sexually explicit messages to other women, which he finally admitted publicly.

Michelle was in EastEnders from 1988 to 1990, with a two-year break between 1990 and 1992, while Martin joined the soap in 1998, before leaving in 2002.

The duo then worked together on the ITV drama Can’t Buy Me Love, which is based on a true story about a man who tricked his loved ones into believing he had won the lottery.

Since then, Martin, who was the bassist for the new wave band Spandau Ballet, has been featured on television.

He finished third on Celebrity Big Brother’s 10th series, but is perhaps best known for his appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox with his radio DJ son, Roman Kemp.

Meanwhile, Michelle continued her career in soap operas, starring in Coronation Street from 2011 to 2014.

Talk about Loose women earlier this year, the actress revealed she had “given up” and said she was now a “serious actor.”

“I’m just going with you,” she added.
