AROUND 10 fire trucks are currently trying to put out a blaze that has set six houses on fire, the fire service has announced. A video shared by a local shows the firefighters putting their best foot forward to fight the massive blaze.
Several homes are currently destroyed by the fire and residents are being evacuated.
No serious injuries have been reported at this time, but further evacuations are underway, it has been announced.
Residents who do not live in the immediate vicinity are asked to keep windows and doors closed while emergency services deal with the incident.
All displaced residents should attend Calcot Infant School, which is being set up as a triage center, the fire service said.
TVP West Berkshire tweeted: “When residents arrive at the triage centre, please indicate which property you are from, whether your vehicle will remain on Red Cottage Drive, any medications required and if any pets have been left at the home address.
“Red Cottage Road is currently completely closed.”
