Alfie Boe has the last laugh with a hilarious tweet after Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu called him “a guy” after an epic performance.
The singer may have played an instrumental role in finally getting Ekin-Su and Davide to do it finally said the ‘l word’ with each other, but it seems that the actress was not the most foggy who he was.
Enjoying a delicious meal in an amphitheater lit by dozens of candles, the couple’s idyllic date reached a peak of romance with a private serenade from Alfie.
Returning to the villa, Ekin-Su couldn’t stop beaming when she told the girls that Davide had finally said, “I love you.”
Asking her what had happened during the meal, Ekin-Su explained that there was also “a man named Alfie Boe” who was performing.
Despite the long trip to Mallorca to give the once-in-a-lifetime performance, Alfie was good-natured about Ekin-Su’s complete lack of awareness of who he was.
On Twitter, he wrote: ‘Hello… @ekinsuofficial, I’m the ‘dude named Alfie Boe’ @LoveIsland #LoveIsland.’
We’re going to die.
Of course, fans of the ITV2 program were also quick to mock Ekin-Su on Twitter for her lack of knowledge of classical music.
One Love Island enthusiast wrote: “No one who knows who Alfie Boe is makes my night #LoveIsland.”
Another joked: “I hate Ekin-Su even harder because I have no idea who Alfie Boe is #LoveIsland.”
‘They didn’t know that was Alfie Boe’ #loveislandone fan commented.
Will the confession of love, and arguably one of the most epic dates in Love Island history, help Ekin-Su and Davide’s chances?
Along with them, there are only four couples left: Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack, Adam and Paige, Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, and Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri.
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
