The Met Office predicted that Friday will soon see rain in the northwest, east across northern and western parts, with some heavy rain in the northwest. Other areas remain dry, but increasingly cloudy.
According to the experts, Friday looks much warmer for the south of Britain, with temperatures reaching mid to high 20sC.
Elsewhere, the high teens and low twenties will feel warmer with a light southern breeze.
Jo Farrow, a weather expert with netweather.tv said: “Again by Friday afternoon there could be a shower down the spine of North Britain but for most of the UK it is fine and clear.
“Temperatures remain low to mid-20°C with occasional showers as the Atlantic fronts move in. The timing of this will vary.
“Later on Friday a low pressure area will come in, bringing more clouds from the west and eventually frontal rain to Northern Ireland and western Scotland.”
Rain is expected to start raining as it spreads across more of the north of Britain on Saturday morning.
Much of Scotland should brighten up, but clouds and drizzle will swing over Northern Ireland and NW England during the day.
She added: “There is some uncertainty about the position of these tires so just remember the general picture rather than focusing on the Weather app for dry and wet times.
