rsenal were among the busier teams during the summer transfer window and can hire even more players.
Mikel Arteta has spent north of £100m on Fabio Vieira, marquinhosMatt Turner and Manchester City couple gabriel jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
A midfielder reportedly remains interested in the club, prompting more transfer news and rumours.
Here you see some of it…
Jarrod Bowen
Arsenal contacted West Ham about the signing of Jarrod Bowen this summer, according to CBS Sports.
Reporter Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell, so there are a lot of clubs circling Bowen, but the challenge, like Declan Rice, is to convince West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain free planning not to let him go.
“So there’s a lot of excitement about Bowen possibly moving to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment as West Ham don’t want to sell. But Arsenal have certainly checked with Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”
Cody Gakpo
Arsenal have been told to pay up to £38million for transfer target Cody Gakpo.
Football.London claims Mikel Arteta is interested in signing the PSV midfielder.
“At the moment the situation is calm around Cody Gakpo, despite some speculation about Arsenal,” Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside. “He was always on the list for Leeds United, but not in the first position, just after Luis Sinisterra, who was a priority of the club.
“PSV Eindhoven hope to keep him and his price tag has always been around €40-45 million (around £33.5 million to £38 million). He might be a name to watch in the coming weeks as a big opportunity for many clubs.”
Leroy Sané
Another player Arsenal has been linked to is Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.
Express journalist Ryan Taylor believes The Gunners would investigate a deal for the former Manchester City winger if he became available.
He told GiveMeSport: “It would be reasonable to assume that Arsenal would be interested in a player of his.” [Sane’s] quality.
“He’s world-class in his time and he’s proven himself in the Premier League, so I think he’s the kind of player they’ll be looking at, but at the moment there’s nothing concrete as far as I know.”
Nuno Tavares
Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares will undergo a medical check-up at Marseille this morning before being loaned to the club for the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ligue 1 club will cover the player’s full wages but have no option to make the switch permanent.
