UK weather forecast LIVE: With Office issuing warning for torrential rain and floods – but 30C HEAT AGAIN to return NEXT WEEK

30C scorching is just days away

On Wednesday and Thursday, the mercury could look to this sweltering climate, with the south-east of England expected to enjoy the best of it, according to forecasters WXCharts.

Meanwhile, The Mirror reported that a high-pressure system pushing up from the south would bring temperatures down to the mid-20s in parts of the country by the weekend.

As for Tuesday, stormy weather is also expected outside Scotland.

The north-west of England will see clouds and eruptions of rain, some of which will be heavy, which is expected to dampen spirits on Tuesday.

It will then move slowly through the day to other western areas causing persistent rain.

Northern Ireland is expected to have a wet and windy start to Tuesday, but as night falls, it will clear up and dry up.

It will be dry elsewhere and southeastern areas will be treated with plenty of sunshine and windy conditions.
