Infinix today launched a new Smart 6 Plus in India with a different design and specifications than the original Smart 6 Plus available in other markets.
The Indian version of the Infinix Smart 6 Plus (X6823C) is built around a notched screen like the original model (X6511G), but at 6.82″ diagonal, it is larger than the original Smart 6 Plus’s 6.6″ panel. The display of the Indian variant is dimmer with a peak brightness of 440 nits (vs. 500 nits), but both screens have the same resolution (HD+).
The back panel of the Indian Smart 6 Plus has a “mirror back design”, while the back of the original model shows off an “Aura Waves textured design” and is coated with an antibacterial material.

The camera island design on both variants is also different, but both use 8MP primary sensors, accompanied by AI lenses. The selfie cameras are also different. The original model has an 8MP selfie shooter accompanied by a single flashlight, while the Indian version has a 5MP selfie unit flanked by LED flashes on the left and right.
The Indian Infinix Smart 6 Plus is powered by the Helio G25 SoC and comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The RAM is virtually expandable up to 6 GB and you also have the option of expanding the storage up to 512 GB, as the smartphone has a special slot for a microSD card.
Original Infinix Smart 6 Plus
The original Smart 6 Plus, on the other hand, comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, expandable up to 512 GB. Infinix has not mentioned the name of the SoC that powers it, saying only that the smartphone has a 2GHz CPU at the helm.
In terms of software, the Indian Smart 6 Plus runs Android 12 (Go Edition) with XOS 10.6 on top, unlike the other model that boots XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 (Go Edition).
The rest of the highlights of both Infinix Smart 6 Plus versions are a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, DTS Surround Sound and a microUSB port. Both models contain 5,000 mAh batteries.
Color options of Indian Infinix Smart 6 Plus
The India variant of the Infinix Smart 6 Plus is offered in Miracle Black and Tranquil Sea Blue colors, and will go on sale in India from August 3 via Flipkart for an introductory price of INR 7,999 ($101/€99).
