LIONESS legend Jill Scott believes winning Sunday’s European Championship final would be a “defining moment” for the women’s game.

The England star says the tournament has already been a “game changer” for the sport.

But she admitted she had a dream about what it would mean to… beat Germany at Wembley 50 times a day.

She said yesterday: “It’s going to be such a difficult game. We know that Germany is always such a tough opposition and we will give them the utmost respect.

“But as I said before, you can’t help but dare to dream a little.”
Scott, 35, is very confident in the Lionesses opportunities as they prepared for all eventualities – including dreaded penalties.

The midfielder hopes the women can go one step further than the men to inspire an already proud nation.

She added: “We wanted to give the sport the respect it deserves. And if you ask me, I think we ticked all the boxes.

“So I think we have now earned the right for the team to go out on Sunday and enjoy it.”
