Theater Commander Joint Task Force Northeast ‘Operation HADIN KAI’ Major General Christopher Musa on Friday, July 29, handed over three rescued Chibok schoolgirls who had been in captivity by Boko Haram for the past eight years.

General Musa gave reporters an update on the success stories in the fight against Boko Haram and also said that 70,593 members of Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to troops so far.
“The general security situation in the North East (NE) Theater was relatively fluid and unpredictable. “Over the past month, OPHK forces have conducted several land, sea and air operations, including patrols, ambushes and clearing operations that neutralized more than 60 terrorists and arrested more than 120 suspected terrorists and their logistics/urea fertilizer suppliers.
“In carrying out effective economic strangulation of the terrorists, troops have intensified their efforts to intercept logistics suppliers of suspected terrorists in order to deprive the terrorists of vital logistics.
“A typical example was the arrest on July 13, 22 of a Mr Haruna Fulani and Umaru, who were suspected logistics suppliers of Boko Haram Terrorists Commander, named ALI NGULDE in the Mandara Mountains surrounding the general area of Gwoza.
