There was much talk about their rivalry during another thrilling Premier League title race last season, with many doubting the idea of placing it in the pantheon of major battles in the history of English football.

Klopp has confirmed that both Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota will miss the game as they recover from injury.
With Jota injured, Darwin Nunez has an even better chance of making his debut on English soil for the club, while Adrian will replace Alisson as usual No2 Caoimhin Kelleher also struggles to stay fit. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will also miss much of the time with a serious hamstring injury.
For City, Erling Haaland will likely make his first appearance for his new club in England alongside Nunez. the forward scored in his first game against Bayern Munichalthough he suffers from minor niggles so it is not clear how heavily he will be involved at this stage.
