So-called ‘Stop’ Brexit Man’ Steve Bray ignored the tight guest list for Boris and Carrie Johnson‘s wedding to hold a solo demonstration today after a friend and fellow campaigner was reportedly arrested nearby.
Photographer Sylvia Yukio Zamperini was taken away in a police car after she turned up near the lavish party venue Daylesford House, Gloucestershire, Bray claimed.
In a facebook post tonight, he wrote: ‘I was supposed to meet Sylvia […] but she called me. She was searched by the police.
“A police van and car passed me 20 minutes ago. She cried and waved like crazy from the back of the car. She’s been arrested.’
He added in a subsequent tweet: “Police use dirty tactics.”
Gloucester Police did not respond to a request from MailOnline for clarification or comment this afternoon.

Parliament’s notorious protester made an appeal for urgent legal help on behalf of Sylvia.
Ms Yukio Zamperini has been Bray’s right-hand man over the years of vociferous campaigning in and around the parliamentary estate over the past six years.
She describes herself as a ‘proud European’ and often makes images of Bray’s flags and banners.
Sylvia traveled to the beautiful Cotswolds wedding venue from Birmingham, with Steve from London.

They were supposed to meet near Daylesford House, but Sylvia had reportedly already been arrested.
Bray also posted a video today in which he spoke to a local police officer, who had warned him that loud amplifiers set up to disrupt the party would be confiscated.
The unidentified officer, who Bray’s followers say was polite and respectful, said he gave ‘Stop Brexit Man’ a ‘pre-warning’ in case he tried to sabotage the postponed wedding.
The notorious campaigner tells the policeman: ‘Look what these guys have done with our lives. I don’t care if it’s a wedding party.’

The Tory leader’s sister Rachel, their father Stanley and Brexit Chances Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg have all reported for Mr Johnson’s lavish party at Grade I-listed Daylesford House, Gloucestershire.
Friends and family will all gather to celebrate the wedding of Mr Johnson and his wife Carrie at the picturesque property which sits on a 1,500-acre property and features stunning amenities including a heart-shaped orchard, meticulously tended gardens, an 18th-century century orangery and a luxurious swimming pool.
About 200 guests, including a dozen Conservative MPs, had gathered for drinks from 5.30pm in the idyllic mansion owned by JCB founder and Tory mega donor Lord Bamford.

It is thought that for some time they had hoped to celebrate their special day in style, with a succession of political crises that forced repeated delays.
