Rebekah Vardy is back on social media for the first time lose her trial for libel until Coleen Rooney.
Jamie Vardy’s wife felt ‘extremely saddened and disappointed’ after the judge ruled in favor of her former boyfriend. she could make up to £2 million.
Their legal battle began in 2019 when stories appeared in The Sun that Rooney claimed Vardy had sold to the press, revealing fabricated details about her private life.
Rooney was nicknamed ‘Wagatha Christie’ after she performed a months-long stab operation on Instagram and concluded that it was Jamie Vardy’s wife who leaked the stories.
However, Vardy vehemently denied the allegations and sued Wayne Rooney‘s wife as a result.
The high-profile trial lasted just over a week before the verdict was announced, Rooney leaving ‘satisfied’ and Vardy insists that the judge ‘was wrong’.
Now she is trying to move on with her life, after claiming she has no intention of appealing.
The star took to Instagram to send a strong message and shared a provocative post.
With her back to the camera and flashing a peace sign — which looks like two fingers from behind — Vardy wears a leather jacket with the slogan “Normal is boring” splattered on it.
She also wears jeans and thick black boots while standing in a field, suggesting it was festival attire.
“Peace out ✌️,” Vardy captioned her photo, implying she’s ready to put her legal troubles behind her.
Vady – who has 410k Insta followers – has limited responses to her posts, but she did get kind words from her loved ones.
“We got you back girl. Always ❤️💪,” one friend assured, while another commented on a series of black-hearted emojis.
In a statement after the verdict, Vardy begged those who abused her to stop, indicating she has no intention of going ahead with the verdict, saying “the case is over.”
She continued: ‘As I explained in my evidence, I, my family, and even my unborn baby, were subjected to disgusting messages and despicable abuse after Coleen’s Post and these have continued throughout the trial.
“Please, the people who abused me and my family can stop now. The case is over.’
She thanks everyone who has supported her.
