There is a number of physical, philosophical, environmental and logistical reasons why it is better to hop on a bike than it is to drive a car. Gas prices are rising. The earth is on fire. And yet, somehow, it’s easy to ignore it all when you’re late for work and have not yet wrestled with your pants on your screaming toddler.
If you are trying to reconcile your carefree cycling days of yesteryear with your current life as a family driver, I highly recommend getting an electric truck. Mine transformed my life and transformed my dull, daily calling into a multitasking combination of joyride and workout. We have been reviewing ebikes for a few years here at WIRED. I regularly pick up kids, groceries and bags of who knows what in the city on some of the best (and worst) electric bikes in the area. These are our favorites.
