According to a Zillow survey quoted by PureWow, there is one color that will increase the resale value of your home and another that should be avoided.
The shade you should consider painting your front door is black because it will add a whopping $ 6,449 to your home’s sale value.
Although similar to black and popular in 2018, charcoal gray was cited as a color that no longer matters as it is now one of the least popular colors to paint the front door of a home.
Clay blue doors, especially a chalky, light blue-gray color, are also popular with people who want to buy houses. Buyers say they will spend $ 1,537 more on a home with this door color.
When selling your home, you should avoid one color at all costs: millennial pink.
Some people have found these doors to look poor and expect to spend $ 6,516 less on homes that have had doors of this color.
Previously, interior designer Andra DelMonico also mentioned pink as a color you should not choose when painting your home – specifically the walls.
DelMonico advised to stray away from the color, along with some other unfit contenders: “Avoid pink in any room in your home. It will lower the value of your home, no matter what room you use it in.”
“It’s one of the least attractive colors and can lower your home value by thousands. Other colors to just avoid completely are bright primary yellow or vibrant green.”
DelMonico also mentioned the wall paint color that will add value to your home.
To increase your home value, DelMonico said to paint your bathroom a light blue shade.
“His soothing style will have mass appeal and can increase your home value by thousands.”
