A 20-year-old woman who reportedly fell on a New York City subway line was killed because the conductor couldn’t stop the train. She is reportedly a student at New York University and an intern at an investment bank.

According to the New York Police Department, the woman was attacked at Grand Central Station in Manhattan just before 11:00 pm on Tuesday when seven southbound trains were pulled into the platform.

Police reportedly told the New York Post that the train driver tried to stop the vehicle but couldn’t brake before hitting the woman.

Emergency responders tried to help the victims from under the subway. Firefighters lay down on the platform, reached under the train, and saw medical equipment scattered on the ground.

On Tuesday night, the woman fell to the roadbed of Grand Central Subway Station when seven trains to the south were approaching.

According to the post, the woman was declared dead on the scene about an hour later.

According to NBC New York, no criminal activity is suspected in the death of a woman. I didn’t immediately know exactly how the woman fell on the railroad tracks.

She wasn’t identified as of Wednesday morning while waiting for notification to her family.

However, sources said in a post Wednesday afternoon that a New York University student woman attended the New York Mets game and returned with a colleague from Lazard, who was allegedly a summer intern.

A Lazard spokeswoman confirmed in the newspaper that the woman was working at the bank’s New York office at Rockefeller Center.

“Lazard has been overwhelmed by the tragic death of our colleague,” said a spokesman. “It’s unimaginable to lose someone early in life. Our idea is with her family, friends, and her Lazard colleagues.

Citizens reported that power was cut off from the tracks as police arrived at the scene after the incident.

A New York City Subway alert and customer service Twitter account posted that seven trains were delayed in both directions, but the emergency team responds to those attacked by the trains.

Seven trains have been temporarily suspended between 34th Street Hudson Yards Station and Hunters Point Avenue Station.

By Wednesday morning, there were no active alerts for seven train delays.
