Novak Djokovic has revealed his desire to meet Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray after Wimbledon 2022 at The O2 in London.

The 20-time major champion is currently defending his Wimbledon crown, a tournament he has won six times, which saw him take a straight-set win over Thanasi Kokkinakis on Wednesday and face second-seeded Nadal in the final.

After the game, the 35-year-old Serb, the top-seeded at this year’s championships, was asked about reuniting with his fellow Big Four members at Federer’s Laver Cup in September, admitting it was a “possibility” that ” would be unique.

An indoor hard court event, the Laver Cup was founded in 2017 by Federer, who was not present at Wimbledon this year, and sees a star-studded Team Europe and Team World team vie for supremacy, akin to the Ryder Cup in golf.

Nadal and Federer, who have won 43 Grand Slams together, have already confirmed themselves for the 2022 event – along with great British hero Murray, who crashed out of Wimbledon on Wednesday – and will be coached by the great Bjorn Borg.

It will take place at The O2 in London and when asked about his potential entry this year, Djokovic, who appeared at the tournament once in 2018, said: “It would be very unique.

‘It is a possibility. My agent is in communication with the Laver Cup team. We have agreed that a decision will be made after Wimbledon ends.

“Laver Cup is the only league where you can have all the big rivals, the big three, the big four players on the same team.

“It’s a very different and exciting concept for us players, but also for the fans around the world. The O2 Arena is a trusted venue for me and for us players. We’ve been playing the World Tour Finals in that arena for over 10 years.

“I think the tradition of tennis here in Britain has contributed to a very successful event over the course of more than 10 years. So of course it would be nice to play there again.’

Team Europe dominated at the last Laver Cup, destroying Team World 14-1 in Boston with a team that included Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev.
