Megan Markle accused the Republicans of participating in politics. | Royal | News

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, attacked last week in a U.S. Supreme Court move to end constitutional protection against abortion by overturning the groundbreaking Roe v. Wade ruling. Megan urged people to vote to hear their voice, implying that she might travel to Washington, DC to protest her controversial decision.

However, Republicans, after quitting their royal duties, blew up the Duchess, who lives in California with Prince Harry, with her intervention.

Republican Lisa McLean said:

“I don’t think anyone on this side of the pond cares about Megan Markle’s opinion of killing a baby.

“But I think it would be a great episode for Crown to run for president.”

Republican Buddy Carter added, “I think it was pretty clear in 1776 that Americans didn’t want members of the British royal family to make decisions for them.”

Meghan opposed the US abortion decision in a conversation between American feminist activist Gloria Steinem and journalist Jessica Yellin in Vogue.

The Duchess said she and Harry, a “feminist,” responded “throat” to the movement.

Megan said: “What does this tell women?”

“My husband and I have talked a lot about it over the past few days. He is also a feminist.

“His reaction last week was a throat like me.

“Now, I know that for so many women, there are feelings of despair.

“But again, we need to be united and we don’t hang around. We have to work.”

Megan also urged people to vote for the upcoming US midterm elections.

She states: “We must put that fear into action. We can start the midterm elections in November of this year.

“I hear it feels very repetitive, but you have to vote every time, from local elections to state and national elections.”

And the former actress hinted that a trip to Washington, DC could be on Ms Steinem’s card.

She said: “Well, Gloria, you and I will soon be traveling to Washington, DC together.”

Megan previously lobbied Republican politicians for paid parental leave, causing accusations that she had stepped into politics.

It is under speculation that she may one day run for president of the United States.

A poll from the Democracy Institute / Express.co.uk last month showed that Megan was one of the preferred candidates.
