In his resignation to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Chris Pincher admitted that he “confused” himself and “others” after drinking too much. In his letter, he wrote: “Last night I drank too much. I confused myself and others.
The letter continued. “I think the right thing to do in this situation is to resign as Deputy Prime Minister Whip.
“I have a duty to do this to you and the people I upset.
“I want to assure you that you will continue my full support from the back bench, and that you do your best when you deal with the aftershocks of Covid and the challenges of international inflation. hoping.
“It is an honor in my life to serve His Majesty’s Government.”
It is understood that Mr. Pincher remains a Tory member because he admitted cheating and resigned from the role of whip.
Mr. Pincher has been a member of Parliament for Tamworth since 2010 and was Minister under former Prime Minister Theresa May.
The news came after former Tory lawmaker Neil Parish resigned after admitting that he had seen pornography twice on his cell phone at the House of Commons.
