Associated Press-A poll by the National Poll Center, released Wednesday, found that 78% of Democrats believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
According to the survey, 85% of all Americans said the country was heading in the wrong direction, and 92% of Republicans said the same. The poll, which surveyed 1,053 adults over the phone, was conducted between June 23 and 27, with a sampling error of 4%.
72% of Democrats said they approved President Joe Biden’s ability to perform his duties as president, but only 25% of independents and 8% of Republicans approved it. (Related: New federal investigation spells worse news for Biden’s crater economy)
According to polls, the majority of bipartisan Americans are pessimistic about the economy, with 67% of Democrats and 90% of Republicans saying the economy is in poor condition. Overall, 79% of respondents say the national economy is in poor condition.

According to polls, Democrats did not blame Biden for the economy as much as Republicans and independents. Among Democrats, 54% said they approved Biden’s treatment of the economy, but 5% of Republicans and 14% of independents felt the same.
Consumer prices have reached their highest levels in the last 40 years. The Gasoline Index rose 4.1%, Food rose 1.2% and Energy rose 3.9%, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported in June. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on June 19th, “[s] The economy will slow down, “but” I don’t think a recession is inevitable at all. “
In a May AP-NORC poll, about two in ten adults said the country was heading in the right direction, from three in ten who thought it was the previous month.
