“We talked about how we can all make changes to protect the ocean and why it’s so important. Thanks Ellie for showing the way.”

In the clip, Ellie said: “It’s much more than being an eco-warrior now, it’s much more than being someone who happens to love nature a bit, or happen to like being by the sea, I think it’s very important.” is to emphasize that, we all have a part to play in that.

“It is part of our responsibility as guardians of this planet.

‘First of all, you can make responsible choices with what you eat and know where your seafood comes from.

‘Single use plastics, if only you can be aware of them. In principle, we want as little plastic as possible to end up in the sea.

‘Do some research, see what your local community is doing, or maybe you could start something. You could be the person who starts something, that’s pretty cool.

“Everything in our biosphere, everything we rely on, really depends on the health of our oceans and discovering things like we dump a truckload of plastic into our ocean every minute… It’s horrible.”

Princess Eugenie is known to have a close relationship with the pop star, with Ellie singing at the 2011 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and at Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Eugenie and Jack were also among the guests when Ellie and Caspar Jopling got married in 2019 in York Minster.

Prince Andrew and Fergie’s daughter once worked with art dealer Caspar’s uncle, Jay Jopling, at New York auctioneer Paddle8.
