Ottenham have confirmed the signing of Richarlison from Everton in a deal worth an initial £ 50m, with a further £ 10m in additions.

The Brazilian has signed a five-year contract to become Spurs’ fourth summer signing and the second biggest expense on record after Tanguy Ndombele.

Under Antonio Conte, and with the upcoming Champions League football, Spurs are embarking on a summer spending spree to bolster their team.

Conte was keen to add Premier League-ready reinforcements to his squad and earmarked Richarlison as a target with the forward able to play over the top three.

The 25-year-old is an ideal signature as he can act as a supervisor for Harry Kane or play alongside the English captain.

Spurs are now expected to focus on defensive recruits, having already signed winger Ivan Perisic.

Barcelona center-back Clement Lenglet is in advanced talks over a loan while talks with Middlesbrough over a deal for right-back Djed Spence continue, with the expectation that an agreement will be reached.

Conte is eager to complete the majority of his summer business before the team flies to South Korea on July 9 for their pre-season tour.
