Elon Musk is the most influential person in the crypto space and can swing the markets with mere tweets and statements. The Tesla CEO raised Dogecoin’s price to $ 0.73 last year after announcing it bought Doge in early 2021. While directly responsible for Dogecoin’s rise, Musk has indirectly fired Floki Inu, Shiba Inu and other meme tokens.
A string of meme tokens has emerged in the market after Musk announced his support for Dogecoin. Although we all know that the Space X founder owns cryptocurrencies, his ownership of NFTs remains a mystery.

Does Elon Musk own NFTs?
Elon Musk did not publicly disclose that he owns NFTs. In March 2021, however, I tweeted that he wanted to sell a Techno song as an NFT. The video song featured the word NFT on top and rotated across the space. I signed it, “I’m selling this song about NFTs as an NFT.”

The tweet provoked massive community reaction and NFT enthusiasts believed Musk was entering the digital art space next. The tweet received hundreds of offers and combined to $ 1 billion. However, both serious buyers and trolls made it to the comments section, and it was difficult to determine which bid was genuine.
An hour later, Musk tweeted that he was not interested in “selling” it and poured cold water on the NFT bidding war. “Actually, it does not feel quite right to sell it. Will succeed, “ I tweeted.
Months later in December last year, I posted a meme that seemingly mocked the NFT culture. The tweet shows a man seeking medical treatment and Musk was mocked for mocking with mental illness.
However, he also commented on Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus’ tweet that the crypto-space is a “cheat” bait “NFTs are jpeg the dollar.”
Going into all of this, it’s likely that Elon Musk does not own any NFTs and considers it a joke. We’ll only know if he owns any NFTs when he announces his digital artwork collection in public.
However, Elon Musk is the star of the NFT space despite the memes he posted to mock it. A search on the NFT platform OpenSea for ‘Elon Musk’ shows that there are more than 137,877 NFTs associated with him.
