A man has been arrested and detained for interrogation by police investigating the disappearance of a woman.

West Yorkshire police confirmed that one man was detained today, and the other two men and the arrested woman were rescued from detention until further investigations were conducted.

The 20-year-old Somaiya Begum was last seen at his home address on Binnie Street in Bradford around 2pm on Saturday.

Twenty-year-old Somaiya Begum was last seen on Saturday, June 25, around 2:00 pm at her home where she lived with her grandmother and uncle on Binnie Street in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

She was Asian, had a slim figure with black hair, and wore black denim jeans, a black top, and a black head scarf.

Somaiya is known for her frequent visits to the Barkerend area of ​​the Bradford and Leeds Beckett University campuses, where she is believed to be a student.

Forensic officers and detection dogs are on the scene at Vinnie Street today to collect evidence.

Mark Bowes, Inspector Morse of the West Yorkshire Police, said:

“We are very worried about the welfare of Somaya. Her disappearance is completely out of character.

The investigation used professional investigators, neighborhood police patrols, drones, and dogs.

“Executives continued to troll CCTV, make home-to-home inquiries, and talk to some people in the area.

“We are doing everything we can to find Somaya and want to reassure the community that the investigation is very ongoing.”
