Adele burst into tears on several occasions when she entered the stage in London’s Hyde Park for a long-awaited performance.
The 34-year-old singer was stunned in a black floor-length dress as she took to the stage to perform her hits on Friday at American Express’ BST Hyde Park in London.
Adele’s hair was swept into a stylish beehive with some delicate strands that framed her face, and wore excellent gold pointed hoop earrings.
Her dress was a black velvet halter neck design with sleeves that were off the shoulder, that ended below her hips, with the skirt a black glitter fabric, with a gold belt that turned off the look.
Among the crowd were some familiar faces, with Hollywood star Tom Cruise and presenter James Corden watching the performance.
Nick Grimshaw, Luke Evans, Lorraine Kelly and Ant McPartlin were also seen taking the tunes, but there was one person about whom Adele would have been most excited.
There was an extra special guest who attended as the Hello star told the crowd that her son Angelo was watching his superstar mom that night.
In one of her classic ad-libs, she told the crowd, “My son is here, so keep your ears shut,” before sharing an anecdote about failing her exams.
The performance was Adele’s first appearance since the Brit Awards in February, which came just after she controversially canceled her stay in Las Vegas.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Adele said to the concert-goers, ‘I’m so glad to be here, help me!’, Bursting into tears at the beginning of her set.
The tears flowed freely at many points, including when she heard thousands of her fans sing Someone Like You in Harmony.
Given the extremely successful evening, one may wonder how one of the world’s most famous voices chooses to relax after a show.
Well, just like the rest of us, apparently, as Adele told her fans that she’ll be up all night ‘watching the new episodes of Stranger Things season four that have just dropped.
