A fire broke out at a Dublin house, killing a man (in his 60s)

A man died in a fire this morning at a facility in Dublin.

His man, in his 60s, was found on the grounds of Parkgate Street by paramedics.

In a statement issued to Independent.ie, Gardai said: “Around 9:55 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, Gardai received a fire report at a property on Parkgate Street, Dublin 8.”

“Galdai and paramedics attended the scene and the fire was extinguished by the fire department.

“The body of a man in his 60s was found on the premises. His body will be transferred to the city’s corpse for autopsy at a later date.”

A Dublin fire brigade was called to a house in the city center on Wednesday morning after a fire broke out.

The building remains closed for the duration of the investigation.

The Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted. “The operation is underway and we have asked Luas to suspend the trams in the area.

“There are also traffic restrictions.”
