Taylor Swift is said to have contacted relatives of the Southport stabbing victim before taking to the stage at Wembley Stadium tonight.
Tonight's performance in London was described as 'the most difficult concert of her career' after three little girls were killed during a Swift-themed dance class on Merseyside.
Bebe King, six, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, after the incident on July 29, while ten others were also injured.
When she took to the stage tonight, returning to the UK for the first time since the tragedy, she appeared overwhelmed as she welcomed 92,000 fans to her show.
Although she did not explicitly mention the stabbing, the three innocent victims were said to have been on Swift's mind. Swift was said to have been “shocked to her very core” by the incident.
“Taylor may not have spoken about Elsie Dot, Alice and Bebe on stage but she has contacted their families,” an insider told The Sun tonight. “It's something that's weighing heavily on her mind.”
After the tragedy, Swift said she was “at no point in knowing what to do” due to the devastating attack.
“The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is still overwhelming me and I'm just in complete shock,” the 34-year-old singer said after the incident.
“The loss of life and innocence and the terrible trauma that was done to everyone who was there, the families, the initial reaction. These were just little kids at a dance class. I really don't know how I can ever express my condolences to these families.”
Just days later, Swift was forced to cancel three performances in Vienna after police foiled a IS fighters terrorist plot. Swift has not publicly commented on the attempted attack, but insiders said she was “shocked.”
This is a breaking story. More to come.
