A man accused of murdering Zara Aleena was detained.
Jordan Maxweeney from Church Elm Lane in Dagenham, east London, appeared in Old Bailey on Friday morning.
The 29-year-old has been accused of killing her 35-year-old child early Sunday when she returned home from night along Cranbrook Road in Ilford, east London.
He was also accused of robbing her cell phone, keys and purse from Mr. Arena and attempted to break in without consent.
McSweeney appeared via a video link from HMP Thameside wearing a green jumper.
He was seen covering his face with both hands before the hearing, before sitting in a chair.
Maxweeney will then appear at Old Bailey on September 30th for a plea hearing.
