A person died after a motorcycle crashed into a utility pole in Rotorua.
The crash occurred Thursday morning on Amohau Road (SH30A) near Te Nge Road in Rotorua.
“The bike crashed into a utility pole. The road is closed in both directions,” a police statement said.
Police initially warned people to avoid the area if possible, but roads resumed around 12:30 pm.
The crash was near the busy Rotorua intersection.
