This tiny old home that was once home to a young Elvis Presley will be auctioned off in Memphis on August 14 as part of the city’s week-long Elvis Week 2022 event. But the house has been demolished and will have to be put back together.
A small, blue-painted boarding house that once lived by a young Elvis Presley has been listed for auction.
Located in Tupelo, Mississippi, the dilapidated structure was home to The King and his parents, Vernon and Gladys Presley, from 1943 to 1944.
According to the New York Post, the property, which was once abandoned, will now be auctioned off in Memphis on August 14 as part of the city’s week-long Elvis Week 2022 event.
The sale will be handled by the American firm Rockhurst Auctions, with the price estimate at a low US $ 30,000 – US $ 50,000 (NZ $ 49,000 – $ 81,000).

Oddly enough, the house has no land – the structure has been completely dismantled and is currently waiting to be moved to the next owner’s desired location.
“The house itself has been carefully demolished and taken apart, so that it can be put back together. It’s stored in a trailer, “Rockhurst Auctions owner Jeff Marren explained to The Post.
“So when someone buys the house, they will get the whole trailer and the designs to put it back together.
“Whoever buys it can hire the person who took it apart to put it back together for them.”
While it’s definitely an unorthodox way to sell a property, the Blue Suede Shoes singer’s old home is remarkably simple.
With the three bedrooms, one bathroom and a total internal living space of 117 square meters, the pokey house is a complete dichotomy of the last house in which Elvis lived – the monolithic Memphis structure known as Graceland.
