Adele plans to make a documentary about her career, including the postponement of her stay in Las Vegashas been reported.
The singer recently returned to the stage for the first time in five years to headline the BST Hyde Park festival, leaving fans in awe with her incredible performances.
Prior to her two evenings fronting the event, she appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, addressing the backlash she received at the time before the cancellation as she said ‘It was terrible and the response was brutal. I was a shadow of a person for a few months.’
It is now claimed that the reaction to the delay in her Las Vegas appearances is one of the reasons she wants to make an “intimate” documentary about her life.
A source reportedly told The sunAdele feels she has disappointed fans somewhat with how the past 12 months have gone, especially the last minute postponement of her Las Vegas residency, and sees this as a way to make up for that.
‘One thing is certain, it will be watching TV. Even though everyone knows her name, Adele is quite mysterious as a person.”
The source also emphasized how different Adele’s life is from when she released her first album, stating, “Her life now compared to when she released her debut album is unrecognizable.”
Speaking further on Desert Island Discs about the furore surrounding her Las Vegas residency, the multi-Grammy Award winner recalled how “afraid” she was of disappointing her fans if they couldn’t make the concerts “work.”
“I support that decision. I don’t think any other artist would have done what I did, and I think that’s why it was such a huge, huge story,” she said.
“It was like, ‘I don’t care’ and things like that. You can’t buy me. You can’t buy me for nothing. I’m not just going to do a show because I have to or because people will be disappointed or because we’re going to lose a lot of money. I’m like, “The show isn’t good enough,” she added.
When Adele made the announcement that the residency had been postponed, she shared a tearful video on social media, saying that everyone “tried absolutely everything to get it done in time and to make it good enough.”
