Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 is coming soon. And today, new leaks bring some details and a series of renderings about them.
AirPods Pro 2 comes with a new System-in-Package (SiP) for the H1 chip and supports adaptive active noise canceling. The new SiP improves performance and power consumption with “higher integration and better manufacturing technology”.
In addition to the improved Find My feature, there are also new features such as heart rate monitoring and hearing aid usage modes. The case comes with a USB-C port for optimized quick charging.
As you can see, it looks like an AirPods Pro and also an AirPods 3. These obviously belong to the same family. The stem of the AirPods Pro 2 has the same pressure-sensitive buttons as the previous generation.
AirPods Pro 2 may be able to monitor temperature using a heart rate sensor, but it’s not clear if temperature monitoring is actually available.
The hearing aid feature works in conjunction with a new case that has a microphone and can send what you hear to the earphones to improve the sound. The case also has a speaker, and you can use the “find” function to make a sound, so you can easily find the case.
For audio, you can expect a combination of a customized high-amplitude drive unit and high-dynamic range amplifier, as well as auto-adaptive EQ, spatial audio for head tracking, and audio sharing.
