ALEX Jones has said goodbye to The One Show for at least a month after the BBC announced another schedule change.
The popular presenter took Instagram on Wednesday to post a photo of her and co-host Jermaine Yen on the famous green couch.
She captioned the post: “And that’s a wrap until the end of August.”
It followed the duo’s announcement on the Wednesday edition that loyal viewers won’t be getting their weekly daily fix.
It comes as the show gives way to coverage of the commonwealth gameswhich starts on Thursday.
The pair were joined on the show by Lenny Henry and Tom Daley in Birminghamas the city gears up to host the sporting event that pits the world’s best athletes against each other.
As Alex and Jermaine concluded the latest edition of the popular weekday show, Alex told viewers that they were taking a “summer vacation” until the end of August.
She kept saying, “Stay safe and have a nice summer.”
The closing segment was also shared on the show’s social media pages, with some: Twitter users tell the couple to enjoy their break.
One user wrote: “Happy Holidays guys”, while another wrote: “Yeah, have a lovely summer and enjoy it.”
The news of the breakup comes after Welsh beauty Alex recently opened up on Instagram about the “challenging” times she’d been through at home.
She admitted earlier in the week that she is going through “a tricky and challenging patch in her life”.
The presenter, who is the mother of Teddy, Annie and Kit with husband Charlie Thompsonshared a squeeze of a lemon and thanked her followers for the sweet messages she had received.
Famous friends also commented like Good morning Great Britain‘s Charlotte Hawkins wrote: “Hope all OK, sending love,”
While Izzy Judd added: “Sending love” followed by a series of red emojis with a love heart.
The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One.
