The iPhone 14 Pro range will benefit from the always-on highlighting of the new lock screen widget in iOS 16. This is a report on Apple’s product update suggestions, but changes to the iPad Pro may include models with M2.

Apple was previously rumored to include an always-on display in its Pro lineup of iPhone 14 models, and the code included in iOS 16 beta seems to support this feature claim. Apparently it’s been under development for years, but there are reports that it needs to be changed due to the introduction of lock screen changes.

Mark Gurman reports that the iPhone 14 Pro will be able to display the same lock screen widgets as the iPhone 14 series. Bloomberg Sunday’s “Power On” newsletter. These features keep the screen low brightness and frame rate, but the settings prevent sensitive data from appearing on that display.

In addition to the display, Gourman said that changes to the Pro model include an updated front camera, a 48-megapixel sensor for the rear camera system, a thinner bezel, an upgrade to the A16 chip, and an update to the pill. Is written. Cutouts and hole punches shaped instead of regular notches.

It seems that more modest changes will be made to iPhone 14 models other than Pro, such as holding the A15 chip for another year. However, the 5.4 inch mini model will be replaced by the 6.7 inch version.

The transition to USB-C was advertised in 2023, but all models continue to use Lightning for physical connections.

When migrating to the iPad, Gurman believes that a new low-end model with A14 and 5G connectivity will be available in the fall and will have that USB-C connectivity.

The iPad Pro lineup will be updated in late 2022, with 11-inch and 12.9-inch models equipped with an M2 chip that runs on Apple’s Stage Manager. The addition of codenames J617 and J620 extends the range of models that support the new multitasking system from three to five at release.

In the future, Gurman expects Apple to announce a larger iPad model within a year or two. That model can have a 14-inch to 15-inch sized display, which is a significant step up from 12.9.
