Angela Rayner celebrates Labour’s electoral victory in Chester | News

Deputy Labor leader Angela Rayner visited Chester on Friday to celebrate the result of the by-election with the new MP, Samantha Dixon, who will now take her seat two years after the next general election.

The party retained the seat with a majority of 10,974, defeating Rishi Sunak in his first electoral test as prime minister.

Labor took more than 61% of the vote, up from 50% in the last general election, albeit with a much smaller turnout.
