Apple has surprisingly released a new build of its fall operating systems earlier than expected, with new builds of iOS 18iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2 are available for testing.
The sixth round appears after the fifth round, which is on August 5thwhile the fourth round was issued on July 23although Apple did roll out a minor update to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 builds on that July 26The third round was similar, as after an initial July 8 introduction to most updates, July 10 For macOS Sequoia, Apple subsequently re-released the beta versions for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia July 15.
Apple is also simultaneously rolling out another set of developer betas for the fall operating system updates. These include iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1.
The sixth developer betas of iOS and iPadOS 18 its build number is 22A5338b, replacing 22A5326f. Apple's sixth tvOS 18 build number is 22J5346a, up from the fifth, 22J5335d.
The sixth macOS 15 Sequoia beta has build number 24A5320a, replacing 24A5309e. The sixth watchOS 11 developer beta version is 22R5340a, which takes over from 22R5328e.
The sixth visionOS 2.0 developer beta release is build 22N5308b, replacing the fourth, build 22N5297g.
The fifth round added Distraction controla feature for Safari that allows users to remove unwanted elements from a web page. There have also been changes to Photos, including the removal of Carousel View.

The fourth iOS 18 beta included new changes to Control Center, further refinements to the flashlight controls, new CarPlay wallpapers, and new graphical background changes.
The second included SharePlay upgrades and iPhone Screen Mirroring, which Apple confirmed days before issue.
The confirmation was part of Apple's response to stories that it may abstain of the offering Apple Intelligence and other important new operating system features in the European Union, as a result of the Digital Markets Act interoperability mandates.
AppleInsider and Apple highly recommended that users avoid installing test operating systems or other beta or RC software on “mission-critical” or primary devices, as there is a small chance of problems that could lead to data loss. Testers should instead use secondary or non-critical hardware and ensure that they have adequate backups of their critical data at all times.
