Apple Releases Second Public Beta for iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura

Apple has the second public beta versions of iOS 16iPadOS 16, tvOS 16 and macOS Ventura to members of the software testing program.

The second public beta versions of the new software updates should be essentially identical to the fourth developer beta counterparts, which were released Wednesday.

Interested users can sign up for Apple’s beta software program and download the new betas from the corresponding web portal.

New features in iOS 16 include a redesigned lock screen with widget support and additional customization, the ability to edit or delete iMessagesand an Apple Pay Later installment plan, among a slew of other features.

The iOS 16 and iPad OS 16 public betas have a build number of 20A5328h. The macOS is coming the public beta build number is 22A5311f. The tvOS 16 the public beta build number is 20J5344f.

Apple has not released a fourth developer beta watchOS 9 on Wednesday, so a second public beta hasn’t been released either.

In iPad OS 16, Apple has moved its tablet a little closer to its Mac with a feature called Stage Manager, which allows multitasking in windows. Apple’s watchOS 9 introduces new faces, heart rate zones, a Medicine app, and other additional fitness and health features.

In comparison, tvOS 16 is a smaller update, but still includes new functions such as additional support for gaming controllers, new Smart Home features and cross-device compatibility.
