Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points after moving past Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates on Sunday.

The visitors almost took a surprising lead as Wilfried Zaha saw his betting gun bounce back off the post early on, but Arsenal began to click into gear as the first half progressed and opened up a commanding lead thanks to strikes from Gabriel Martelli And Bukayo Saka.

Granit Xhaka made three shortly after the break, but Palace briefly threatened a comeback as Jeffrey Schlupp pulled one back and Zaha came close again. However, Saka stopped the match with a calm end to Kieran Tierney’s cut to keep Arsenal’s title fight firmly on track.
